Now Available: God’s Wisdom + Giveaway

God's Wisdom Cover_blogEvery day children are confronted with the call of wisdom and the call of foolishness. Which call will they answer?

God’s Wisdom, a newly released book by Sally Michael, uses the words of Proverbs to explore these two paths. As parents guide their children through this book, they will discover the joys of wisdom and discern the destruction of foolishness.

Each person starts out on the path of foolishness because we are born with foolishness in our hearts. Only God can incline a child’s heart toward the path of wisdom—and he can use your example and diligent instruction to do it.

Sally Michael seamlessly weaves New Testament and Old Testament stories together to teach biblical wisdom in a way that is clear, fun, and engaging for children. Her compelling word pictures and analogies make difficult concepts easier to grasp.
—Marty Machowski, Pastor, Author of Long Story Short and The Gospel Story Bible

Once again, Sally Michael has used her fervent love for Christ and her keen understanding of the Scriptures to help parents and children. . . . I’m very excited to put this book into the hands of parents.
—Deepak Reju, Associate Pastor, Capitol Hill Baptist Church, Washington, D.C.

God’s Wisdom is a full-color, illustrated book that includes 26 chapters with application questions and activity suggestions. The stories are written to elementary aged children. This is the fourth book in the Making Him Known series, which also includes God’s Names, God’s Promises, and God’s Wisdom.

To learn more about God’s Wisdom, read the first chapter or take a look at the table of contents. If you want to help children find the path of wisdom, order a copy now.

We just ordered God’s Names, God’s Promises, and God’s Providence earlier this month. We hope to start one of them with the children in the next week or two, and it will probably be God’s Promises. I would like to start with this one because I need to be reminded of God’s Promises, too! I would love to add this fourth book to our collection.

I have used God’s Names in my Sunday School Class. Not only did the children learn much about God’s name as I taught from the book, but I learned so much as I prepared for each lesson. The book is such a blessing!

Yay! A new book from CDG that I can’t wait to read with my family. I have wondered about how to teach my early elementary children about wisdom and foolishness from Proverbs. Thank you so much for your wonderful resources! We are currently reading God’s Names as a family on Sundays at dinner. We all love it and are learning a lot.

  27. Kristy January 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm #

I have used “God’s Promises” and now using ” God’s Providence” as part of our homeschool curriculum. Highly recommended, as Mrs Michael unfolds God’s truth in a way that my 5 & 8 year can relate to. It has started many wonderful discussions and a lot of deep theological truths were reinforced and learned(mommy included). I am just so thankful to God for CDG and how He is using these resources in our family. Can’t wait to have a copy of God’s Wisdom.

  35. Ellen Stream February 1, 2014 at 12:35 am #

Our fifth graders study the Way of the Wise. Our fourth graders study the Names of God. After the fantastic trifecta, God’s Names, Promises and Providence, I cannot wait to add God’s Wisdom to our church library!
